We offer traditional school visits, bespoke workshops, loans boxes, free resources and more. ________________________________________________________________________________ *Offer: Free visits to your school - Outside Rochdale Borough* We have received some funding from the co-op movement to offer free sessions at your school - on a first come first served basis. This can be delivered in any part of the country and is aimed at those schools who might struggle to come to Rochdale due to distance or transport costs. Who were the Rochdale Pioneers? Teacher's Guide - Use this guide to introduce the Rochdale Pioneers to your classroom. Take one: hobnail boots - Teacher's Guide - This resource takes just one object from our collection and provides guidance to build activities and projects around it. Creative writing prompts - This resource has printable worksheets for your pupils to create their own pieces of creative writing. For Secondary Schools and Adult Learners (KS3 +) We offer digital sessions for KS3 on the Industrial Revolution and the impact of the co-operative movement on working class lives in the 19th and 20th Centuries. This includes a pack of resources sent in advance and time to connect with staff at the museum through a video link once you have completed the activities. We can offer BESPOKE sessions covering co-operatives and citizenship as well as sessions for adult learners about the difference between co-ops, collectives and B-Corps, as well as to complement literacy and ESOL (English as a second language). We also have a loan box aimed at older learners and this can support dementia friendly activity funded by Action Together.
